A master of iconic image-making, Matthäus’s films leave a long-lasting imprint on the mind. He expertly blends bold and challenging cinematography with a carefully-choreographed dynamic energy. Whether for Porsche, BMW, Schweppes, Siemens or Smart, the results are films that are constantly fresh, experimental and contemporary. Blurring the lines between music video, manifesto commercial and fashion film. Sizzling with vibrant vignettes and kinetic soundtracks.

Most recently, Matthäus has been working with the emerging technologies of virtual production to create a spellbinding art film ‘A Part Of You’. Shot as a technical experiment made entirely using unreal content as backgrounds, the avant-garde dance short was showcased on Directors Library. A restless director who we are super excited to welcome HERE in the UK.

The Apiary are one of the most exciting and singular directing duos in town, creating highly-affecting filmic worlds through a combination of visual ASMR, stunning choreography and intricate sound design.

Their otherworldly style ranges from sport, to fashion, to off-kilter performance, to intense tabletop, making them one of the most versatile directors I’ve ever had the chance to work with. On top of this they are absolute pros, which you can tell from the microscopic attention to detail in their work.

Their work is ridiculously satisfying.

An astute observer and storyteller, Nick’s films are brimming with warmth and personality. His gentle camera style and carefully-judged performances infuse all his work with a natural and sensitive authenticity. Commercials or long form, his work always connects on a deeply human level. It’s nuanced and engaging, and beautifully balanced.

Whether in his ‘Isolated Trees’ film - shot with his own family in Lockdown - or in his latest short ‘If Not Now, When?’, Nick’s films exhibit a true optimism, but one that never pastes over the cracks. It’s rare to see such honestly in commercials, and brands like P&O, ASDA and the Sun have been smart enough to realise too. As well as a filmmaker, Nick is an accomplished musician, singer & writer.

SUPERNOVA is the moniker of stirring South-American Duo, whose work treads the line between sport, fashion and lifestyle, striving to challenge conventional styles of film making and creating honest, beautiful visual worlds.

Underlying their work is a distinct, tangible sense of cool; their films are permeated by a natural feel for the youth and street cultures which blaze the trail toward innovation, creativity and social change.

Their style is at once high-octane and romantic, interweaving cinematic storytelling with mixed-media elements and expert direction of photography to a rather singular effect.

Winner of the 2022 British Journal of Photography Female in Focus Awards, if you haven’t heard of Jasmine de Silva yet, you soon will. An emerging force on the art scene, her work perfectly reflects the voice of modern conscientious consumerism, entertainingly questioning our societal values.

De Silva’s photography & short films combine retrofuturism, hyperreal aesthetics, pop-art style colours and diamond studded female bodies, as they playfully satirise the desire for physical perfection. She holds up a mirror to our own dehumanising obsession with appearances, aiming to expose society’s unrealistic standards of beauty. Her work has been showcased at numerous festivals & screenings and she is currently pitching on her first advertising commissions.

Jonathan has his finger firmly on the digital zeitgeist button. A cross-media visual storyteller with a rich, immersive & playful aesthetic, his work combines live action, green screen, 2D and 3D animation to create kinetically-charged commercials. Jonathan’s style is highly dynamic and imaginative, and heavily influenced by his time as a Creative Director at Artlist and Motion Array.

Most recently he has been experimenting with AI, looking at the emerging possibilities in the exciting creative intersection of organic and digital craft.

Stuart’s signature style lies in his attention to detail. Powerful visuals, careful framing and atmospheric lighting give an almost abstract cinematic beauty to his work. Which when coupled with the often conceptually-driven themes in his films, make for a powerful and memorable impact. His personal work is characterised by a desire to question the state of humanity, to examine what we mean by ‘progress’. Whether it’s in his multi-award winning short ‘LOOP’, a stirring exploration of humankind’s perverse desire to imbue AI with emotive thought, or his arresting glance at the modern world’s obsession with our mobiles and the resultant loneliness in ‘The Space Between Us’. Perhaps most striking of all is the positivity such themes can inspire, as seen in his future manifesto short ‘We Shall Not Return’.
