Treating visitors as ‘Honorary Icelanders’ not just tourists presented a refreshingly different face of tourism from the usual glossy packaging.

The results were incredible.

The campaign generated 1.18 billion global media impressions. Visitors to Iceland rose by 16% and added an extra £34m to the economy. It was Iceland’s most successful winter ever.
